古くは西陣織を中心に、現在は服飾・インテリア素材として、多岐にわたる分野で使用される金銀糸・ラメ糸を生産し、国内外へ販売しています。金銀糸は、国内最大規模の自社工場で一貫して製造することにより大量生産ができ、お客様のニーズに合わせたカスタマイズ対応も可能です。本事業では「もりさん」と共同で金銀糸を使った西陣織のホームファブリックを開発しました。
Mitsuwa is one of the largest metallic yarn manufacturer in Japan. Providing yarns mainly for Nishijin textiles in the past, today they produce customized metallic yarns according to customers’ needs, for a wide range of fields such as knitting, undergarments, embroidered emblems, lace curtain, woven fabric and gift-wrapping ribbon in both domestic and international markets. In this project, they produced new home fabric collection with Morisan by enhancing their special weaving techniques of traditional Nishijin textile in Kyoto.
