RAKU CERAMIC VASES
吉村楽入は楽茶碗を造る数少ない窯元のひとつ。長い歴史と伝統に裏付けされる楽焼の茶碗は、茶道に欠かせない存在ですが、一方で楽入は、楽焼を茶室の外に持ち出す革新的な挑戦にも取り組んでいます。製作されたモダンな花器のシリーズは、空間に浮かぶようなイメージから「宙」と銘名。現代の室内空間を伝統の魅力で彩ります。
Master Yoshimura Rakunyu is one of the very few potters that make the well-known Raku ware in Japan. Continuing the tradition and long history of Raku ware, he creates unique tea bowls essential for the tea ceremony. Today Rakunyu is innovating to bring Raku ceramics out of the tea room. He created a series of vases, named “Space” (宙 – Chu), inspired by its floating effect, to let people enjoy the charm of tradition in their modern interiors.
